I had the opportunity to meet and photograph Kirsty Gallacher in her home during an editorial photoshoot for Top Santé magazine.
The Front Cover
We had to make sure the front cover was a priority; when it’s an editorial photoshoot, this needs to be perfect. So, the first hour was spent making sure we nailed the perfect shot. Kirsty’s home was the ideal backdrop with a white kitchen and modern-style living room. Here’s the front cover that was chosen by the Top Santé editorial team.
Editorial Photoshoot must-haves
For the inside spread, we needed a variety of editorial photos that would also tie in with the interview. The context of the interview was Kirsty’s health, nutrition and fitness. She also wore fitness clothes throughout the shoot from Contur, Freya Lingerie and Vionic Shoes.
Action Shots
We also needed to show Kirsty in action with her fitness. So we found the perfect spot in her home where she has a small workout area. I shot from outside, through a large doorway, to capture Kirsty working out.
Getting Outside
The day of the photoshoot was hot and sunny so getting outside was a challenge with strong sunlight. We got some great action shots with Kirsty being an absolute pro with her running and posing..whilst managing not to get too hot and sweaty! We even included Kirsty’s gorgeous dogs, Frankie and Bertie, who also enjoyed posing for the camera.
