    ✨How to choose a personal brand photographer✨

When it comes to finding the right photographer to take your personal brand images, it’s really important to invest in one that is RIGHT for you.

So, where to start?! Here’s a few tips to help you find the right one.

1️⃣ When you start your search use a keyword that is specific such as ‘Personal Brand Photographer Suffolk’. If you just use the word ‘photographer’ you’ll have lots of photographers that specialise in wedding and family photography. A lot of us do work in more than one genre of photography but if we specialise in Personal Branding Photography, we should come up on the first page of your search, making it easier (and quicker!)

2️⃣ Once you’ve found a few photographer’s websites to look at, check out their style of images – it’s also worth looking on their Instagram feed too, or other social media platforms. If you want images that are ‘light and airy’ but the work you see is dark and moody, it’s unlikely you’ll get what you need. Similarly, if it’s vintage film style imagery you’re looking for, you won’t want to choose a photographer whose work is bright and vibrant.

3️⃣ Have a read about how they work when it comes to planning a personal brand photoshoot. Do they create a shoot plan? What’s involved to create this? How do they deliver the finished images to you? All of this information is so important when you’re investing in a photoshoot to capture your brand and business.

4️⃣ Talk to them! You need to feel comfortable and build a rapport with the photographer you’re going to be working with. Having a chat before booking will ensure you can start this process. And if it doesn’t feel right from the first initial chat, don’t feel obliged to book with them. Just let them know if you decide it's a no so they can take you off their list of potential clients.

💾 Make sure you SAVE this post so you can refer back to it when you’re searching for your personal brand photographer!

Many people think the place they work isn't suitable - don't always dismiss your home 'office'. With some props, styling and possibly decluttering you may be surprised what it can look like with clever angles and making the most of any natural light you have.
