5 Tips For Your Personal Branding Photography Location

When I’m talking to my clients about their upcoming personal branding and headshot photo shoot in Suffolk, one of our first conversations is about where to shoot and the location that will work with their brand. Here are some top tips to consider when you’re thinking about where your personal branding photoshoot will take place.

#1: Location?

Are you holding back from booking a personal branding photoshoot because you don’t think you have the right location/home office? This doesn’t need to be a sticking point for you not getting the images you want and need to show up for your audience/potential clients/customers. It may be possible for me to capture the images you’re looking for with what you have. A shot of you at your computer (if this is one of the details you want to capture) may still be more than possible with clever angles, the right light (natural, or enhanced with additional lighting) and some props to create the atmosphere you’d like.

#2: Locations picked for you!

If you really don’t want the shoot to happen in the home office or the place you work in, I can advise on a suitable location that can help you achieve the look you want, such as this location in Suffolk (below), which was used for a personal branding photoshoot recently.

#3: Different ways to find a location

It’s also worth looking at airbnb! There are normally a plethora of locations listed in your area which may work for your brand and we can work together to find the perfect location for your vision and brand. With props and pops of your brand colour/s (using cushions, carefully placed items) you can achieve a look for your images that will look fantastic on your website and instagram grid that take your brand to the next level. This location in Ipswich, Suffolk had an amazing staircase and worked perfectly for this clients branding photoshoot with pink being her main brand colour.

#4: More than one location

You don’t have to be confined to an office whether it’s at home or not for your branding photoshoot. When I work with you, I help you plan the stories you want to tell with your images and, with a half day branding shoot (4 hours), we can normally fit 3 or 4 stories in. These can be at different locations such as an indoor space for headshots, computer, details etc. We can then go out and about and even take a shot of you at a coffee shop, enjoying a walk in the great outdoors. This type of shoot will give you a library of images which enables you to strategically plan your content instead of scouring your hard drive for any old image that will do….or going down the rabbit hole of stock images!

#5: All planned out

All of these stories and details are discussed and put into a photoshoot plan which is then with us for the shoot day (via an app, see below!) so no shot is missed and it’s all meticulously planned to ensure you get the most out of your branding shoot.

Family Shoots

Baby Bea

“Georgina was such a fantastic photographer. She made the whole family feel completely at ease and made the whole process so smooth and non-intrusive, which is so important in those early newborn days. Being a mother herself means she really understands how to get the best out of children, babies and parents!! I am absolutely delighted with the photos she took and will cherish them for many years to come”.

Swenson Family

‘Wow! We love how you drew out the essence of each personality in our photo session. You observed and took time to capture the dynamic of our family so that our photos tell the story of who we are. As we prepare to send our son to university, we feel that you have captured a very special moment in time, George (Georgina). Thank you!”

Zibarras Family

“We had so much fun both times we were lucky enough to work with Georgina.  She quickly got us into a fun, relaxed mode to capture the family pics we wanted. The kids absolutely loved her and she was extremely patient and accommodating. Our photos are beautiful, timeless and exactly what we wanted”

Gordon Family

‘This was the most wonderful, happy photo shoot. Georgina made us all feel so relaxed and as a result, she captured the real heart of our family – the natural laughs, cheeky smiles and gentle hugs. We couldn’t recommend her enough’

“Georgina is an extremely talented photographer! Her eye and attention to detail is outstanding. She knew exactly what to capture and how, understanding the brief remarkably well. Thank you Georgina. Wish you hadn’t left Kenya!”

Your Trainer

Georgina did a shoot for me in my Personal Training / Pilates studio as well as a family shoot.
On both occasions the outcome was far better then I could have wished for. She was punctual and super organised, had a great eye on how to place me and my clients for the best angle and had lovely ideas during the shooting.
